Got the new synthetic in . 22. It’s lighter than I thought. Feels nice when shouldered. Like the cheek adjustment. Put a nice Hawke AirMax 3-9×50 scope on it and zeroed it in in mins. Very accurate, but was a little overpower for what I needed it for.
Adjustments were easy and got it where I wanted it. I’m shooting 770 fps with a 14.3 grain Crosman pellet that’s 18.8 ftlbs of energy. Perfect for those pesky squirrels.. At 25 yards I’m hitting dime size consistently. With a few shots pellet on pellet.
Got a good quality bipod from Caldwell locks right onto the strap peg. I got an extra magazine for it. Once you learn how to load the pellets, it takes only seconds. AND they are much cheaper than most other company “clips” on the market. Get a couple.. I’m getting 45-50 shot per fill from 3000 psi to about 1700 psi. Reason you’ll want more mags… Lots of accessories for it.
I was going to buy a $1,300. gun but after seeing so many good reviews and how adjustable it was, I went with this much cheaper air rifle. And had money for all the accessories. NOT sorry one min.
I think it’s the best bang for the buck on the market.!!! I saw a lot of complaints about the .22 from a awhile back But they fixed a lot of issues. Very nice unit right out of the box. From paper targets to small animals , it’s the perfect unit. I highly recommend it! I’m 60 and have a fine British and German gas ram and springer.. This Mrod will shoot the pants of of them.
