My CP88 Comp is a beautiful CO2 pistol that has the feel of quality to it. Virtually all exterior parts are metal except for the grips. The finish has the appearance of finely blued metal.Ironically, it feels more a firearm than my S & W 9mm pistol.

However, like one of my uncles told me when I first started to date girls, “looks are not everything”. Trigger pull is quite stiff in both double and single action modes. When firing in the double mode, there is a roughness that has not smoothed out with use. The rear sight is adjustable for windage, but not elevation. The gun shoots more than an inch under point of aim at 25′. This if quite frustrating and makes for disappointing accuracy, especially when considering the cost is the better part of $200.

Although I plan to keep my CP88, I do not recommend it.

As good as it gets without being a true firearm.

Almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Heavy!

Shares the same great metal internals as the other top of the line Umarex Colt 1911, Beretta FS92 and I think the Desert Eagle with minor dimensional and visual changes.

It shoots hard and shoots straighter than any of the 20 recreational air pistols I own.

If I can find fault, the trigger is a bit heavy but suits the gun and doesn’t seem to affect its excellent accuracy.

We are talking @ 33 feet here a standard 10 yards for rec pistols. I’m not sure how it will do further than that with it’s 6″ barrel.

It’s only other drawback is it’s price. At close to $200 for the Competition model.

When trying to decide I went with the P88 copy since it comes with a true 6″ barrel for aim and the permanent compensator attached.

Now that I’ve spent the money it’s hard “not” to look at the fair to good to “great for the money”, Daisy’s Crosman’s and Gamo’s I own as toy-like.

It’s that nice.
