I bought this gun about 15 years ago and it is still going strong. It has the feel of a precise instrument, not a toy. Real wood grips and pump arm make this model well worth it. I mounted a red dot using the optional Crosman dovetail mount attachment, and it is incredibly precise. I would recommend this above the Crosman 1377 in terms of quality, although the 1377 is a lot of fun because of the custom parts available. Way to go Benjamin Sheridan!!!!

This gun is a classic, made from gun metal and wood. No CO2 needed and with 4-6 pumps you can hit a metal can at 40 feet away and put a serious dent on it. 7-12 pumps and its breaking through. Made pretty well but the sights need to be changed. The rear sight has minimal adjustment for windage and you have to work hard to get it adjusted at all, that needs to be updated. Other than that it shoots very accurately. Put a red dot sight on ine with a flashlight. great for night shooting too. Can kill small animals, rabbit size easily with 8-10 pumps.

Great pistol for what it is and it’s price! Very powerful (chrony’d 400 to 550 fps using HEAVY to medium wt. pellets) and accurate (just add sights or a scope).

Pumping is not for the weak or timid and the action is pretty rough. Trigger on mine was acceptable for use as-is. Would I buy another one should I lose mine?… Yes, if I needed a shooter right away. Great backyard pest remover!

The HB22 is a good pistol for the price. It is reliable and sturdy. It is accurate, but slightly underpowered at 60 feet or more. The rear sight is abomnibal, replace it with the rear sight of a Benjamin 392! The trigger is narrow, but the company offers a trigger shoe for a reasonable price. If possible do a through check before leaving the store, including a pump-up. I have found the warrenty service of the company is excelent. So if you can’t do a through check in the store, the compay will make it right. Over all the HB22 is a good buy.

This is a nice pistol, but it gets tiring to pump it. The effort for the last two or three strokes requires a lot of work. It is accurate and hits hard,(killed a crow at 20 yards. The trigger pull is long and hard with a touch of grittiness thrown in. The rearsight seems and is crude for the price of the pistol. I would buy another one, however I would recommend anyone buying this gun pump it up before buying, if at all possible.
