Bought this at Pyramid Air. It was a recon so was not expecting anything special. Just needed something low powered for backyard shooting to clear the English Sparrows taking over.

Nice gun! Has the Gamo typical smooth cock. 500 FPS is perfect for 20 yard shots. Appears to like Gamo Tomahawks. Had a few laying around. Tried Crosman and Beeman but Tomahawks were most consistent.

Attached a Gamo Aftermath Red Dot. Good groups at 10 yards. Decided to leave since I was shooting < 20 Yds. I give 5 Thumbs up even though it looks like a kids gun but sturdy and does the job. tres in SoCal

Just bought this Gamo. For the price it’s a great little gun, within 15 mins it was shooting tight groups at 10 meters. It is clearly NOT a robust hunting weapon nor is it intended to be, but it is lightweight, accurate and fun for those who don’t need to shoot rabbits at 30 meters. See the gun for what it is and it’s a good buy. My wife (a better shot than me!!!) loves it. Calling it a kids gun is wrong in my view, it’s a fun gun! I’ve had much more powerful air rifles, but this is the one I would choose for ‘plinking’ enjoyment

Was amazed to see how much this gun resembled my old El Gamo “Cadet”. Length and pull of stock are virtually identical. Supposed to have the same ‘guts’ as the Cadet and my old Expo. Groups tighter than the Cadet.

The only thing wrong with this gun in stock-trim is the crummy rear sight. Mine had way too much side-to-side play to shoot consistently.

Mounted a Chinese “Industry” brand metal field sight on the dovetail and what a difference!

With ammo that it likes, I’m getting nickel-sized 5 shot groups at 28 yds. Hollow stock makes it kinda’ twangy and the trigger seems too short for my fingers but hey, it’s a $50 gun.

Velocity clocks 510 fps with Gamo Match pells lightly seated into the breech (I use a pell-seat, gains abt 20 fps for me).

Would rate 4-5 stars if not for the utterly useless rear sight.

Tried taking the action off of the stock and the head on the rear screw stripped out completely. Felt welded-in, that rear screw.

On the forums other shooters have experienced the same thing.

Hopefully it’ll never need a rebuild on the internals…

Cheap, but potentially accurate. Not a bad value.

Tried to use for prairie dog control, at 60 foot range its a waste. tossed the plastic rear site & used a 4 power scope… forget that also…Looks like I’ll have to use my varmint rifle that works well at 300 yards.

Very accurate, lightweight low end rifle. Powerful for it’s size, I do not have crono data, but it beat a rifle crono’d at 503 fps in field penetration testing.

Pros: Cheap, Powerful, Easy cocking, Reasonably accurate. Dovetail mount

Cons: Rear sight lacks fine adjustment and consists of a square all-plastic sight with windage knob (lacking any form of graduation) and a angled rail for elevation. With nothing to stop the sight from being removed, I worry about it coming off in the field. However, I my delta has alot of field time, and it has never happened. Idealy, I want to find another solution for a rear sight – a possibility thanks to the dovetail mount.

Overall, I’ve been very happy with my rifle, and had no problems with it despite much abuse in the field.

Its hard to give a rating on a gun that should have never hit the retail market there is no warranty on the gun to speak of, you must return the gun for any kind of service 12.00 shipping out then when its fixed it cost more then the guns worth to get it back.

For the lack of user serviceable parts alone makes this gun undesirable. The quality is not that great mostly plastic loose front sight, no micro adjust on rear sight elevation lots of twang when fired and remember if you take it apart to lube the spring no warranty so the twangs there for ever. I will stay clear of the gun and most likely all gamo products in the future for the lack of parts.
