Doesn’t matter what rings you use the scope WILL NOT hold, the 2 phillips head screw in front of the forearm will back out even with locktite

Before firing your first shot, apply lock-tite to all the screws. And make sure the back scope mount is butted up to the scope stop.Allow the lock-tite to cure 24 hours. This gun is AMAZING for 100.00$’s!I have owned a number of much higher priced air-guns,RWS,and a Sheridan. This gun is pure poison out to 50 yds!Yes it is loud, yes the trigger takes some getting used to.The finish is rough…But hey this gun is a shooter.I’ve had the gun 3 weeks and the local squirrel pack is down 21 members.Very powerful,a great ”beater” rifle.

This my second 1000S, the first being defective from the factory. However number two was everything I could ask for in an air rifle. Power and accuracy is unmached, 1/4″ groops at 25 yards with RWS pro line ammo, I highly suggest replacing the rings with a more sturdy set. It happens to be a bit on the noisy side and the trigger pull is a bit heavier than I prefer, but with continued shooting you quickly become acustomed. I would have payed more for this rifle, verry pleased……

I have had the 1000S for a couple of weeks now, it is the first high power rifle that I owned I’m only 13 and it was the cheapest one I could find and I love it. Mine was accurate right out of the box. Then I put the scope on it and I now have it shooting a dime at 33ft. It is very powerful. The cocking effort is easy to me and the trigger isn’t a problem for me. SO all of you sissy’s need to stop complaining about. Back to the gun with the 17ft/lbs of energy it has more than enough power to take down a squirrel out to about 50 yards. Trust me I did it before. So if you are own a cheap budget like me or not go purchase the gun because you’ll love it. Oh and did I mention it is only 99.88 at WAL-MART.

HI I GOT ONE OF THESE FOR CHRISTMAS AND WAS HAPPY AS CAN BE, THEN I TOOK IT APART AND LUBE TUNED IT WITH MOBIL 1 FULL SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL, IT WAS MUCH BETTER FROM THAT POINT ON, I ALSO LUBED THE TRIGGER PARTS AND THE GUN SHOT GREAT, THEN I DISCOVERED CARMEX AS A PROPELLANT, AND OH BOY THE LITTLE DAISY 1000S WAS SUPERSONIC CRACK AND THE PELLETS WOULD PUT A HOLE IN A STEEL FILE CABINET, OK THE GUN IS 99.88 AT WALMART WITH A GREAT LITTLE SCOPE, REMEMBER TO CHUCK THE STOCK SCOPE RINGS IN THE TRASH AND GET SOME SPLIT MOUNTS FROM WEAVER FOR 10.99, I WOULD ALSO TRY A MUZZLE BRAKE TO COMPLETE THE MEAN LOOKS OF THE 1000S.

ALL IN ALL A GREAT GUN FOR THE PRICE, IT HAS PLENTY OF POWER AND IS PRETTY ACCURATE OUT TILL 40 YARDS, I DID PUSH THE RANGE OF THIS GUN OUT TO 50 YARDS WITH CARMEX BUT FOR SMALL GAME 30 YARDS SHOULD BE AS FAR AS YOU SHOULD GO WITH THIS GUN.

I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE ON A SMALL BUDGET TO TRY THIS GUN YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH, BUT REMEMBER DONT EXPECT A 400.00 GUN FOR 99.88 AND IF YOU DONT LIKE JUST BRING IT BACK TO WALMART AND SOMEONE ELSE WILL BUY LOL.

A little unbalanced, build quality is so-so (even for the price range), cocking and trigger is tough. Firing cycle is harsh and noisy, and it kicks quite a bit. Definitely a crude rifle.

So why the recommendation? Power and accuracy… I’ve found it equal or better than a Shadow 1000, B20, Quest, and SS1000. In fact, nothing could match its velocity… over 1000fps with Gamo Match pellets.

It IS tiring to shoot, and a properly tuned Quest or Gamo feels as slick as a Ferrari in comparison. However, where the pellet meets the target – I don’t know if you can do better for the money.
