I purchased a “Tech Force” Premier 99 with a scope from an online company. I received my rifle and tried to sight it in with the iron-sights with no luck. The sights would not adjust far enough to get this rifle shooting straight and had them at their limits with not being close to the target. It seems as though when the manufacturer drilled the mounting holes into the body of the spring they were drilled crooked. However, I sent the gun back and the rifle I received was totally different than the first rifle I received. This rifle had beautiful deep redish-brown stock and the bluing was perfect. After 10 pellets through the gun it was sighted in on the iron sights and was shooting a 2 – 3 inch groups @ 25 yard with open sights. I installed a 6-16 x 40 scope and finally got that zeroed in at 35 yards. This gun shoots well and hits decent but IT IS NOT 900 FPM like the advertising says it is. I chronied the gun at 695 using Premier Hollow Point .22 cal/14.3 grn pellet. For the price, $140.00, this gun is well worth the price. The accuracy at 50 yards starts to fall off even with the scope. It is very tough to hit a pie-plate at 85 yds consistantly, whereas, several of my other rifles will not only hit 85 yrds with a 1 1/2 groups but even out to 100 yards. This gun is heavy and you must be strong to cock-it for loading. The under barrel lever does take some strength to pull it all the way back. After 50-100 pellets I am ready for one of my other rifles because my arm is tired. And just for the record; I am 6,3 250 lbs and I even get fatiqued.

In a nut shell… for $140. it is a great plinker and varmit gun from 20-40 yards with a scope, but further, I would seek another alternative.

Regards,

It seems that with these Shanghai guns you either get a good one or you dont, I have a good one as does everyone else I know who owns similar. Must be some bad ones though looking at everyone elses reviews!

Out of the box my QB36-1 shoots easily 1″ groups at 25 metres and I havent even stripped it down yet. Adding a scope does make it a bit fiddly to load though. I’ve fired enough air rifles over the years to know that this IS a good gun, just be careful to look at all the ones in the shop before you buy, just incase you get a dodgy one. For the price I would say this is an accurate, attractive, powerful and functional gun. Would recommend:-)

I had one of this before and it was very incacurate rifle (see my review). So I talk to the local distribuitor and got it replaced by them for a new one (same model).

The new one is a different story!!! This new one is very accurate and the trigger is very good out of the box. I cleaned it throughly as it came with lots of grease in it. I took it appart and cleaned and lubricated it properly. The leather seal can be replaced by a synthetic one (QB88 and B4 seals will fit).

Now I can say I got a good one!

Less than an inch groups at 10 mts. and powerfull. I still recomend it to someone who will enjoy working in it or who would like to tune it first. The stock is very good for a chinese rifle. Dont forget to loctite the screws!

Lots of potential! Great rifle. Now I love it!

This rifle is not recomended unles you like and know how to tune it first.

This rifle is giving groups of 5″ at 10 mts. with open sights. I am not happy with it. I have a little B2-1 and also an excellent QB-57 take down rifle. I can make 1″ groups or less at 10 mts with them in standing position with open sights and also with a cheap red dot. Both rifles without any tuning done at all and they are both chinese too!

I added a scope to this QB36-1 and same results. Good platform to tune though.

Out of the box the qb36 in .177 shot about 3″ groups at 25 feet. I thououghly cleaned and lubed the gun, smoothed all parts including the spring ends. Now I can hold 1″ groups standing at 25 feet. The 7.5 pounds are well proportioned throughout the 41″ gun. Although I do recommend this gun it is for those who are willing to “tune” it first.
