I needed a Springer air rifle to replace my Co2 rifles during the winter, and I like a gun to look and shoot well, also I tend to buy things that are out of the ordinary, hence the B-2 Custom.

The Custom model is the same as the standard model but with the stock replaced with an Italian made stock, and this makes all the difference to the look of the gun, the stock is worth the money on its own.

The B4 is a rather roughly made gun but good design, straight out of the box it was very clean to the extent that there was very little lubricant on it at all, the trigger was very hard to pull, and for anyone with a small hand it would be difficult to properly reach the trigger, the sights are excellent with the front sight being adjustable for side and elevation and the rear sight also adjustable for side and elevation, the rear sight is one of the best Iron sights I have used, the rear sight sits on a scope rail cut in to the receiver, which is a lot better than the older models which had a rail plate on top that kept coming lose.

After a quick drop of oil here and there I set up for a bit of target practice, after about half a dozen shots setting up the sights I was doing 10mm groups at 10m, and 15mm groups at 20m, this is using a bench rest, and iron sights, I was quite surprised at the accuracy,

Since then I have given it a lube tune, trigger job and polished the internals, and now I have an excellent air rifle.

Al

I think this is a great gun especially for its price. When you mod this rifle with spacing or replace spring it’s incredible!! Aimings are perfect. People complain about the scope rail.. What you need to do is GOOP glue the rail down and it’ll be perfect. The rail wont shift or anything. I have a 8×42 scope, i can shoot from 80 feet and get perfect shots in the center of targets.

But remember you must MOD the gun in order to get that great of accuracy. In total i only spent $100 CAD (with mods and scope) and shoot up to 800 fps. 😉

The stock is horrible but i primed it and used flat black 🙂

This rifle has a lot going for it, especially for a gun that’s under $40. I’ve been shooting mine for about a month, and with Beeman Silver Arrows I can hit one-holers at 10 meters. The sites could be modernized, possibly with fiber-optics, and I’d love to add a scope but the rail is useless for any standard mounts. So I’m learning to improve my open-site techique.

Cocking is easy, in fact I wish more springers were under-cocking. I think they could be just as powerful as barrel cock models, but you guys know more about that than I. The trigger is way hard and a bit unpredictable, but it’s getting more sensitive as I shoot. I haven’t tried to make any “tuning” adjustments, just learning how it works as-is, so there are probably other cool ways to smooth out the action. Finally, the stock is very rough and the finish is simplistic-looks like something I’d do at home, so it could definitely be stripped and refinished to something like dark grey or black to improve the look. There’s even a cheek plate to help align my eye to the sights.

You aren’t going to take first place in the local target competition, but you can knock down some small animals, and even teach someone else how to shoot to prepare them for a real firearm. All this for the cost of filling up an SUV. Sweet deal.

Ian

Over the past three years i have owned and shot several B4 in .177 and .22 caliber . They are not a magnum springer and they are not a perfect airrifle but they are a very affordable and a lot of fun. You dont have to worry about barrel alignment because you singlely load the pellet directly into the barrel. They cock fairly easiley with the aid of two hidden cocking wheels under the stock .They are a big chunky fun to shoot,20 to 25 yard target and garden pest control rifle.i personally like the .177 a little better then the .22 but both are a lot of bang for the buck. THANKS KENT
