i have owned loads of airsporter rifles in the past and have a soft spot for them, i only own one at the moment and this needs work doing but they are so easy to strip/repair.

the airsporter is an elegant rifle but not too powerful, the mk1 being the most desireable, upon cocking the mk1, the loading tap opens automatically to accept the pellet (i believe that the mk2 had the same operation too)unfortunately this feature later dissappeared. the loading tap is the achilles heel of this rifle, they can wear exessivly and cause power loss that is very difficult to put right, to test, hold your hand around the loading tap whilst shooting and you will feel a blast of air on your palm the more powerful the blast of air, the more the tap/seat is worn….
