What’s not to like. Can be bought for less than $340.00 with a pump . Shoots most anything well over 800fps. After proper cleaning it is deadly accurate. I am 72 yrs old and it’s easy to pump up. Slick shooting cycle and quieter than a 22 short. Easy and inexpensive to modify because there is a huge after market support for it.

Down side? Well,I like my trigger pull around 2-3lb range and this rifle comes in around twice that. That’s about it for me. Still like my springers but I really happy to own this bad boy. Get y’a one!

Nice package with the pump. My .22 had three problems – a POI shift after each pump-up and another as the pressure changed in the tank. It also didn’t like pointed pellets. The problem was loose breech screws. Now it’s nice – no POI shifts and it likes both domed (RWS Superdome, Benjamin Hollowpoints) and pointed (RWS Superpoints) pellets. It also like JSB pellets. Nice tight groups at my 20 yard sight-in distance. I put-on a 3-9x50AO Centerpoint scope. 50mm is about as large a scope as the gun can take. I had to remove the rear barrel sight. Out of the box it took me 80 pumps to get 2K psi. I then get 20-25 power shots, then it takes me about 50 pumps to get it back to 2K psi. It is loud. On a scale of 1-4, I would rate it a 5. :^) A TKO22 muzzle brake solved that issue – now it around a 2. Great gun. I am very pleased.

I finally got sometime to do a review on my 22 caliber Benjamin Discovery,
To start, I like the look of the gun, it fits right in with the rest of the Benjamin line of Airguns.
Nice short light weight carbine with a full size pistol grip and forearm stock The bright multicolor fiber optic sights line up fast and clear.
Good solid trigger with a medium pull that is smooth and predictable. Pumping the gun is a breeze, instruction book calls for 110 pumps; I put 150 pumps to fill, Take my 15 shots and give it 30 more pumps to fill it back. The shot string I get is quite surprising I fill the gun to about 1800 pounds or just under the 2000 pound mark 804 804 803 802 803 802 798 802 I omitted the .5 and .3 and such as I find them un-necessary The only bad thing I can fine with the Benjamin Discovery is the loading ramp, I have found this to be an issue in common place with the Benjamin Discovery, Re-ramping is not a big deal its common in airguns as well as firearms.
The Benjamin Discovery is a good field grade shooter and destine to be a classic.
This gun really is a keeper

When I heard that Crosman/Benjamin was about to introduce a new PCP air gun I got excited and began to save my pennies.I pre-ordered one in 22 caliber and waited. While i was waiting I started to read about it on various forums. Some of what I read was negative, interesting since the gun was not out yet. It will be made out of plastic,it wont shoot straight, its gonna be made in china,my springer is better. Finally I received gun and it was made primarily of metal with a walnut stock. Yikes the trigger is plastic! How many firearms these days have plastic parts? This gun is light, easy to pump up and groups well with a variety of different pellets.I put a 3-9×40 scope on it,even better! I have a lot of airguns and this one went almost instantly to the top 5. this one is a keeper. I don’t even mind the plastic trigger.

This gun got lots of good review by others but I would recommend shortening the end of the cocking bolt 2 mm to get more room for the long pellets. As it is, it is too tight for the long pellets such as the Korean pellets even though you can load it but it takes effort. Hope the next shipment the maker fix this already. I am working on a rotory magazine for this gun. Prototype had been made and is under testing. It is too good a gun to leave it as single shot.

As a complete overall gun I have to give this gun all 5 thumbs.

I don’t own all the guns there are to be had so I can’t compare this gun to everything available but I can say that it is much better than average and or usually excels in every area.

Fit & finish.

Quality of product.

Power,

Accuracy,

It was only the crunchy trigger that required a good polish to take it from better than acceptable to dam good. Not great but totally predictable with a pull light enough not to throw you off your aim.

I bought this gun and after establishing it could provide very accurate and consistent shots with the right pellets unscoped, I decided to scope it.

I had a 4×32 a.o. BSA that I quickly found was too small for this guns potential.

I installed a Centerpoint 4-16x40AO and eventually became bored with that. The fact that it was not exactly clear at 16 power might have hurt my overall impression.

I’m now back to a BSA but this time an 8-32x40AO that has me giggling with a lot of one hole’rs at 35 yards.

I’ve yet to find this guns potential and with the cottage industry thats out there ready to support this gun with this and that makes me anxious to see whats coming out for it next?

The gun itself shoots consistently in the 800 fps depending on pellet weight and has very little deviation shot to shot.

Accuracy shows it to have a decent if not great barrel since the few fliers I get I tend to blame on either pellet manufacture or myself since they are few.

It is light and well balanced. Myself I appreciated a but extension I installed to accommodate my preference in trigger to shoulder distance. (long arms)

I’ve had this gun for over a month and shot it quite a bit so my review isn’t new toy elation, that went away weeks ago. In fact I’ve bought three guns since.
