I purchased the GS 1000 22 Cal w/3-9 X AO scope Oct 2005. On 10-24-05 at 25 yards I fired 25 pellets. The pellets made a six inch group. I then tried Gamo Hunter and Match pellets and got 2 and 2 1/2 inch ten shot groups. The following day on Oct 25 I shot four ten shot groups at 25 yards using Daisy pellets .The largest group was 5 In with the smallest 2 4/10 th inch. I next tryed Crosman Copperhead pellets and got a 1 7/10th and 2 1/2 inch groups. So after shooting 85 pellets the best group was 1.7 inchs. I set the rifle in corner and put targets in a file. In Feb 2011 I decided to clean the barrel and lube it. After cleaning the barrel fine slivers of steel extended out from the muzzle. I then recrowned the muzzle of the barrel. I have a portable bench rest in my den with the pellet trap set in the storage room at 10 meters. On Feb 11,2011 I tried 9 different type of pellets shooting 5 shot groups. The smallest group was 0.235 inch, except for one group that measured 1.16 inches the other groups were in the .5 and .6 inch range. The booklet that came with the rifle said that it takes 1000 shots to break in the rifle. On Dec 2, 2011 I sited in the rifle using Crosman Premier HP 14.3 pellets and then got a little bitty group– The Beeman GS 1000 is now a keeper but when I first tryed the Spain made copy of the Norica Marvic Gold rifle I would call it junk.

this is such junk. I would never recomend this Beeman GS100 to anyone. There is no customer support…They won’t even act as if they built it. It won’t wont hold center. Cabela’s is where i ordered it from and they advised me to talk to beeman. What a run around. it’s companies like both of these that we find America in trouble.

First thing to point out on this gun is that it is very hold sensitive. Experience is required in order to get tight groups. With that said this gun is great in the right hands. Once you figure out the proper way to hold this rifle you can bulls eye is every time. This gun is heavy but I usually fire from a bench anyway so its no big deal for me. I’d recommend this gun 100% for experienced shooters who want an accurate gun for plinking or pest removal.

made in spain means nothing.what a waste of money.i own several air rifles. one is a condor in 22 caliber, sam yang 909, and i have ordered a gary barnes 87 caliber justice. do not waste your hard earned money, until you have tried a pcp air gun.if you are worried about noise level get a ss talon.i recently went to the outdoor gun range and at 50 yards was shooting better than every person there.by the way,the justice propels a 905 grain round,at 676 foot pounds of energy.all holes touch at 50 yards.how many springers do you see at a target match.

Have had GS-1000 in .177 for about six years. 1000 fps claim IS legit, but only with the lightest (eg Silver Bear) pellets. When new, got about 810 fps with 8.8 gr Crow Magnum, which is a much better small game pellet and the most accurate in this gun. I have cheaper 4X12 , A/O scope (from Beeman) on it. Not bad, but needs to be re-zeroed a lot. Windage setting seems to creep left after 100 shots or so. When new, my ‘1000 with CM pellets was a deadly combo out to 20-30 yds on squirrel and rabbits. Probably needs new mainspring (thousands of shots on the old one) to restore previous velocities, but otherwise in great shape; nicely built. Recently bought a Webley Patriot (Beeman Kodiak) in .25 cal, which is a better piece in every way; makes GS-1000 feel like a toy by comparison!

Wow! I read the reviews from negatives before I decided to tell of my experience. Check the barrel to make sure it was made in Spain. I sighted in @ 50 feet and I group within an inch on every shot (premium .177). If you’re using cheap stuff, don’t blame the gun. My wife got a head-shot on a blackbird at ~ 45 feet. Although it’s not comp, this little guy is wonderful!

Maybe I got lucky on mine, but it was dead-on accurate through excellent METAL fiber optic sights, right out of the box. It was even sighted in!

It shoots 10.5 gr. CP Heavies 736-740 fps (string of 10) and 7.1 gr. Silver Bears from 925-942, and in my very casual garage sessions, it seems to be very accurate.

The handling is where this rifle excells; that slim, checkered stock is a real joy.

Obviously, others’ experiences vary but the GS1000 is one of my favorites. Were I heading to the woods for the day, I don’t know whether I’d carry it or the B40…it is that good for me.

Gun sucked.. Cant even sight it in… I wasted 2 cans trying.. I gave many others that are 100 times better.. No problem sighing them in.. This gun does have alot of power, however not 1000 fps as says and what good is it if you cant hit the target!

Not as powerful as advertised, big recoil for power. Looked great but not worth the money.
