I own both IZH60 and IZH61. Is the IZH61 a top-notch plinking rifle (fun factor guaranteed!), with some adjustments (fitting diopter and front glass aperture sights, adding muzzle break, and up-weighting the stock by filling it with silicon paste, both the muzzle break and the up-weight adding about 2.3lbs to its weight) the IZH60 makes a highly accurate training rifle for 10 meter target shooting. The trigger is, especially considering this rifle costs less than 100,-, absolutely fabulous, being fully adjustable for 1st and 2nd stage, pull weight, and height and angle of the trigger blade. Although of course, mainly because it lacks a recoil compensation system, the IZH60 will never perform like a Feinwerkbau 300, this little rifle still outperforms many of my fellow shooting club buddies. The IZH60 ideal as a youth training rifle. My 12yr old son scores an average of 340 out of 400 at 10 meters.

I bought this first because of cool looks, and adjustable buttstock, so my kids could also use it.

General impressions:

+ Looks

+ light cocking, my 9 year old daughter can..

+ Light

+ Adjustable buttstock

+ Looks even better with added red dot sight

– Too much plastic parts to my taste, older ones are better

– Accuracy is nothing to boast about. Average break barrel rifle performs better, even though it shouln’t…

– Clips are easy to loose in grass etc

– Scope fitting is somewhat challenging. Rail is short, plastic, clip release button stands in way, ..

– pellet speed only for 10 meter targets only

=> Nice toy, naturally under adult supervision only

Thank you to everyone who sings the praises for this gun on the web.

I’ve read all there is to read about this gun. I even babblefished some Russian.

After all the reading I decided to buy this gun I really wasn’t sure I wanted it simply because of it’s looks.

I’m sincerely glad I did!

I will confirm all the good things mentioned and add there is a lot of little secrets you find after playing with it for a while.

I put a red dot on mine and it’s even more accurate and better for my aging eye site. I will next buy a scope rail and try one of my smaller compact scopes.

My clip doesn’t pop out at the end of a 5 shot string.

I don’t dry fire it as I can count to five.

I’ve already dealt with the small scope rail.

All I need now is a good muzzle break to ballance it a bit more than it already is.

I’m shooting Crosman silver eagle lead free wads that weigh 5.1g and it is still accurate at an average 597.7 fps.

Thank You all.

One if the greatest investments you can make. I bought this gun because of a very high recommendation from Tom Gaylord, and he was right on the money. This rifle as he stated has the accuracy of a $2000.00 Olympic match rifle. It is a blast to shoot. It is a great target rifle at 10 meters. This gun is not designed to shoot squirrels or for long range. It is designed for 10 meter target shooting, or busting the eye out of a knat, which it easily does. I have used the Chrony on this gun and it will average around 450 or so fps. Excellent for a rifle of it’s class. And it is a springer that is so easy to cock. Hence to co’2’s to keep buying. I can shoot a twig off a tree at 10 meters without trying and using the open iron sights. I have just ordered a Leapers Bug Buster to make this gun ridiculously accurate. This gun should be in every serious airgunners arsenal. You can target shoot out of a any window in the city with out any notice and have the time of your life. 5+ thumbs up!

This is NOT a hunting gun. It is NOT a target gun. It’s a “econ-plinker”, and a lot of fun ;] If you view it from that basis, it gets 5 thumbs up. If you rate it by any other standard, you missed the concept and will rate it lower.

Rating any gun by what you wish it could do instead of what it was intended to do, “misses the whole point”.

Rated as a FUN and really cool looking plinker, it probably deserves an extra thumb up but by any other standard it deserves a couple less.

This gets the MOST attention [from non “gun people”] of any airgun I own. The “wow factor” is off the scales ;]

hey everyone,

i have the IZH 60. it’s pretty well the same as the 61 except it doesn’t use a clip.

this gun is light, has nice adjustable stock. the trigger is very nice. it is very adjustable. i have found accuracy to be good. the power is good.doesn’t “seem” as stong as my springer but the pellets still flatte out to a pancake when i shoot metal target out to 40-50 feet.did i say the trigger is great??

i am very critiacal about my guns and i can’t think of any mods i would do to this one (which is rare).please check oout the review article at http://www.pyramydair.com/p/izh-61-multi-shot-air-rifle.shtml

it has low recoil. easy to cock. you think about your shoot , not about how creappy the trigger is. the trigger is very perdictable with practice. you can set it very light. pistol grip? yes!

i really have nothing bad to say about this gun- which is rare. i think yu will like it. keep in mind it is a target gun and not really fun hunting! i have knocked a crow from a tree with it though. but he recoved quickly. grat target gun. no mods needed.

note: it has a small scope rial. it ok but not rock solid. but- if you get the mounts for a crosman 2400- they fit on the barell nicly and will allow beteer placment of optics.

spelling doesn’t count

only the X-ring
