Sighting In

I have a Beaman sportsman that I did some trigger work to and I'm now trying to get it sighted in. I was a couple of inches high at 65 feet and all of a sudden the gun started shooting 18" high. Same ammo, same technique, I didn't let the barrel snap closed, no rhyme of reason. I lowered the rear sight all the way and it's still 4" high. Any ideas ??

Move your target to 10 feet

and see where your impact is.

?

What will that tell me, and why would the gun shoot close then shoot high for no reason?

Cracked the case

Problem solved. I took the action out of the stock and found that the barrel was bent. Proves the old adage. "you get what you pay for". One snap back did it.
